New information and communication technologies and particularly applications based on them enable new ways to conduct business and create new industries. Doing research in this kind of network business requires profound knowledge on telecommunications technologies, logistical solutions, consumer behavior, and information systems combining them, developing theses information system as well as legislation, trade conventions and standards set by governments, both in national and international levels. Advancing research in this area can be seen as a nationally significant project, as while the software industry becomes more internationalized, importance of know-how in marketing and business becomes more critical also in high technology companies.
