School of Economics

Aalto School of Economics (former HSE) is Finland's oldest school of economics. Students can major in marketing, international business, logistics, management, finance, accounting and economics, among other things. The future marketers of the IDBM programme are mostly in the fields of marketing and international business, introducing fresh and innovative perspectives on issues such as the commercialization of products and strategies for success in the global market.

School of Art and Design

Dating back to 1870, the present Aalto School of Art and Design (former TaiK) trains future industrial designers, graphic designers, interior architects, fashion designers and experts in many other areas of design. Many of the future Masters of Arts entering the IDBM program are students of industrial design. The competences of designers include the understanding of usability and desirability of products, design leadership and design management.

School of Science and Technology

Founded in 1849, the Aalto School of Science and Technology (former TKK) is Finland’s largest university-level institution in its field. Some 1000 M.Sc. (Eng.)'s and architects graduate yearly from 12 different departments. The students participating in the IDBM program are mostly from the departments of industrial engineering and management or mechanical engineering and information technology, representing expertise in technology, selection of materials, production systems, logistics and operation control.
